Is it better to quit smoking by hypnosis or by counseling? Research says both are the same.

Have you though about trying to quit smoking by hypnosis? A recent study has concluded that using hypnosis to quit smoking can be just as good as counseling.

In the study, one group had standard behavioral counseling as an aid to smoking cessation, while another group had hypnosis for quitting smoking.  Both groups had the nicotine patch.  This study found that hypnosis for quitting smoking does, indeed, compare favorably with standard behavioral counseling for smoking cession. 

It would have been interesting to have had a group WITHOUT the nicotine patch.  However, as with the study I  detailed in Can you quit smoking by hypnosis - a scientific study, this does, indeed, show that hypnosis is a great tool for quitting smoking.
